The Vine Academy and Model Farm is an Academic Institution that offers a value chain of qualifications in Viticulture in collaboration with Raisins SA and Industry Partners.
• National Certificate: Viticulture, NQF 4
The 1-year National Certificate in Plant Production with a specialisation in Viticulture is an Industry supported qualification with a focus on operational viticulture production within the framework of scientific knowledge of plant biology, chemistry, applied mathematics, agricultural engineering technology, agricultural economics and strategic business management.
• National Diploma: Viticulture, NQF 5
The 2-year National Diploma in Plant Production with a specialisation in Viticulture is an Industry supported qualification with a focus on advanced viticulture production within the framework of scientific knowledge on agricultural science, ecological principles, technical planning, agricultural economics and advanced financial business management.
• Technical Skills Course Qualifications
Various Technical Skills Courses are offered in support of the official Certificate and Diploma qualifications. The short courses are also offered to farm workers, students and interested producers.
